Hello Mama’s! I’ve been looking for new activities and things to do to keep Luke busy. Filling each day with new activities to break up the day-to-day schedule while we are spending all this time at home. We’ve been spending more time outdoors (aka the backyard) Lol and doing lots of sensory play.
This week I decided to make Luke a car wash station for his toy cars. Luke is obsessed with his toy cars. So this gives him another creative way to play with them. Most of these supplies if not all of them, you probably have in your house.
Supplies:
First, find a bin for sensory play. It could be a storage bin that you have laying around in the house and something similar to the one I linked. In this case, I didn’t have a bin to use so I used a storage bucket that I had. Next, you want to add 1 part water and 2 part bubble bath. [Ex: 1/4 cup of Water & 1/2 cup of Bubble Bath. ] You can double the amount or you can do this amount for each color you want to do. Then use your hand mixer and whisk the bubble bath and water together. This will create your foam bubbles. Once you have your desired amount of foam, you can add whatever color of food coloring you want! I let Luke pick which colors he wanted! Today, he wanted blue and green! Throw some toy cars in the foam and let your little one enjoy! This sensory play kept Luke happy and busy in the backyard for a good amount of time. Enjoy!!
Let me know if you would like to see more sensory play options!!
